Riding!! in the USA

Riding!!! It's all downhill! yay! 12 runs in one day is record for me.

Jackson Hole Bike Park is actually at Teton Village - a ski village, near Jackson Hole. Teton Village has a nice laid back atmosphere.

This is only their 3rd year of mountain biking in summer, and I think they have done quite well. We didn't need to wait any longer than a couple of minutes for the chair lift. The tracks are flowy, lots of berms and jumps and a few wooden features - nothing too gnarly, which is great for all the kids who were there. There were quite a few little ones on 24inch bikes and even one boy on a bmx. Most bike parks only permit 26 inch bikes to be ridden. So good family fun.

Joel and I rode all the intermediate and advanced level tracks, avoiding the easy ones. They only have 6 or 7 tracks. The so called hardest tracks were narrow, a bit technical with lots of rocks, but they were much easier our Wilmot Downhill Track rock gardens back home.

The hardest thing about riding here was the altitude - at 2075m I could feel myself struggling a bit for breath once I started riding. A very enjoyable day with perfect weather. Started with a very light frost and ended running the air con in the van after dinner.
