Plains are - well - plain boring

Travelling east and leaving the Rocky Mountains takes you on to endless plains. We skirted around the main part of Calgary (1.1million people) on a ring road flanked by soulless housing estates where all the new houses looked the same with three stories, brown roofs and walls that were one of three shades of light brown. Then we headed east toward Drumheller. The road stretched all the way to the horizon in both directions. I am not a plains person.
