Two ports

As I was going to St Ives, I met a man with seven wives... Remember this old rhyme? Well, this is St Ives, on the south west coast of Cornwall.
Narrow streets lead down to the harbour.
Absoltely packed with people when you get close to the harbour and the shops. And, would you believe, cars and delivery vans too!
 The harbour at low tide.
When we came out of the cafe after lunch, the water was well on its way back in.
Portleven is on the other side of the penisula near to Mullion where we are staying. Much smaller and less busy than St Ives, I prefer it to St Ives.
There were lots of children, wearing wet suits, jumping off the harbour walls into the water, and some poeple on the small sandy beach.
The water is not always so friendly. This is a famous photo from a 2014 storm. Can you see the Institute building at the end of the sea wall in the photo below, as well as in my photo above?
