Golden wandering

An unusual thing occurs in Tasmania around the end of April each year. A pilgrimage of sorts is made to the mountains in search of a golden beauty which is
Australia's only cool weather decidious tree.  It is the decidous  beech, Nothofagus gunnii, known most commonly as fagus. Like many others, I went to Cradle Mountain to join the pilgrimage of The Turning of the Fagus. Here are just a few of my photos from my day of golden wandering.
