Most visitors come to Cornwall they all go to Lands End, the other end of the country to the northern most point of John O Groats. As we had been to John O Groats, we thought we should go to Lands End, so we did. It was foggy, and there is a rather over commercialised collection of shops and a hotel.
The thing behind the sign is a lighthouse with a helipad on the top.
Then we tried to go to the outdoor Minack Theatre. We had booked our tickets months ago. The fog was cleared up a little because it rained, heavily, while we waited to be seated in the outdoor cliff top theatre built by Rowenna Cade, a very eccentric idea in a remote location. But then the thunder and lightning happened and the performance was cancelled before it began.
Then I had to drive back to our accomodation in pouring rain and fog and increasing darkness on narrow roads. It was very stressful. I was very very relieved to get to Mullion Cove safely.
