Around every corner

Everwhere you look in this city there are beautiful stone buildings. It is easy to see why it is UNESCO Hertitage listed. I have enjoyed this place much more than I expected.

An older than Georgian building with an owl hole for letting owls into the roof to eat any rats. (Note-that is not a real owl)

Cream tea in a tiny cafe on the bridge.
The Jane Austen experience. Her mother was Cassandra Leigh. My great great grandmother was Elizabeth Leigh. It would be rather delightfully cool to be related.
Afternoon tea 'Jane Austen style' in the Pump Room at the Baths. We didn' t feel we were appropriately dressed.

So long Bath. Off to walk 108 miles to the north of the Cotswolds.
